Sample Case Profiles of Debt Defense

Most "debt defense" cases revolve around whether the debt buyer can prove that the individual (or couple) actually owe the debt. These cases are usually won because the debt buyer cannot prove anything. Usually the only person appearing for the Plaintiff (debt buyer) is their attorney. I encounter this ALL the time. The only way most people lose these cases is because they do NOT FIGHT! I encourage you to contact me about your case.

In the case of Merle Minor v. Assett Acceptance in Tuscaloosa County, we successfully defended Mrs. Minor against a $14,000 credit card debt. Mrs. Minor was a widower who had never taken out a credit card. Charges on this card were incurred within about 6 months of issuance, after which the card was cancelled. Plaintiff had previously sued her OVER THE SAME DEBT a year ago and dismissed the case. The current case was settled out of court with the Debt Buyer paying our client. Our cases involving identity theft usually result in our client's paying no attorney fees.
